Landed in another country, PERU! Very different to Brazil, where I have just spent 3 months. The more I travel, the more I see the difference between each country. Each destination has a diverse way of living, eating, celebrating and working. Different standards and quality of life. Different survival methods. Different fashion, different outlooks and beliefs. The world is an exciting and fascinating place and I am super excited to explore another unique country!!

Currently in Arequipa, 2300 metres above sea level experiencing my first time living at high altitude. It has taken a little bit of adapting, feeling out of breathe so easily, headaches, difficult digestion and dry lips isn’t fun but the dreamy landscapes surrounded by snowy volcanoes, colonial architecture, llamas and alpacas, crazy little yellow taxis flying around and many adventures to be had, makes it totally worth it. 🇵🇪🌍🏞🌄

The best landscapes I have ever seen. Colca Canyon is the second deepest in the world located south of Peru. With green valleys, snowy mountains, volcanoes, remote traditional villages and some epic adventures all thousands of metres above sea level 🌏

Time flies when your having fun. I’ve only been in Peru a little over 3 weeks and I have managed to do so much. This country offers so many wonderful and adventurous experiences and lessons. Crazy altitudes, extraordinary landscapes. Some of the most powerful and mysterious history. A culture so fascinating and unique. Towns and villages still hundreds of years out of dates. Volcanoes 4000 metres above sea level. Some of the best hikes and treks, world heritages sites and wonders of the world. Best thing; I have no plans on leaving Peru just yet. Have you travelled Peru? Let me know your favourite things to do in this country? I want to hear your experiences!

Mules are used all over Peru in assistance when carrying heavy luggage / goods. They are a cross between donkeys and horses. They are a great aid to locals when trekking long distances and high altitudes. I am completely obsessed with animals and worry too much that they aren’t well looked after or that they suffer. I decided against one and also saved 60 soles. If you have have the chance to explore with mules, make sure they have plenty of water, food and rests. Tip your guide and don’t let the mule carry too much. Animals are living creatures who need love and care also!
