For the love of food!
Offering a multitude of vegetarian & Non Vegetarian food, Kerala is known for its delicacies! We were lucky to have interacted with quite a few locals,who offered to share some amazing recipes!
With the benefit of its geographic location, Kerala is home to some high grade produce of finest fishes & it’s fish curry is to die for!
Well, here goes Kerala style Fish curry with a lil Isha Tadka 😀 - Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder & let it rest for 20 min. Wash thoroughly & then either grill it or deep fry it in Oil!
-Take some coconut oil (I used mustard) & add some whole ground spices to it! (Bay leaf, red chili, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg & cumin seeds)
- Add onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, coriander & green chilli puréed into the oil with ground spices) - Cook it till it becomes paste like, let it cook for an hour!
- Add the grilled/fried fish to this mixture, add some water & let it cook for like 10 more min!
- And Voila! The famous down south Kerala fish curry is ready!
Easy to make, relished with rice & brings a smile 😊 🎣
