The goal is not to make everything easy so that everyone can do it. The goal is to take a movement and find the version or level of that movement that fits each person. The goal is never for it to be easy, and I feel like way too many trainers are terrified to break their clients or even put weight in their hands. The goal is to push each client to a level that helps them grow mentally and physically.
If you’re not going to be confident in yourself as a trainer to show them the proper way to do those hard movements, you’re holding your clients back. AND - if you’re not confident in your client’s abilities then how will they ever be confident in themselves?! _
Everyone is capable of far more than they believe. We as trainers and coaches have the duty of instilling confidence in each person and empowering them to reach their highest potential.
